Image Entry Rules 2023-24

Some rules for this season have been relaxed.
Age of submitted images:
Images for critique and Knockout Prints competition - any age but not seen in the club before.
Images for Special Subject competitions - to be taken since the start of the season two years before.
Images for Theme Nights - taken after the announcement of the theme.
Images entered in the 'Of the Year' competitions must have been seen in any meeting in the club during the current club season.
Composite images may contain minor elements which do not comply with the age rule.

All images must be entirely the Member's own work and made using the photographic method. Images made using AI are not eligible for competitions. For critique and theme evenings the author of the images must be present for the images to be shown.

An image may be entered in a critique evening and then the same image may be submitted for a competition. An image may be entered in a competition first and then in a critique evening although there should be a particular reason for doing this.

Amendments to an image suggested in a critique or by a judge (for example if to then enter an of-the-year comp) are allowed but must be to the original image and not be major. An image submitted first as a Print may then be shown as a PDI and vice versa.

PDI are to be submitted as .jpg files with maximum dimensions of 1600 pixels horizontal and 1200 pixels vertical and in sRGB colours. For every print submitted, a Printfile (which is the same as a PDI of the print) must be sent. PDI and Printfiles are to be sent to entries@wadebridgecameraclub.co.uk. Every image file is to be named in this format Misty Morning_Anne Other.jpg

Prints may be of any size or orientation but must be mounted on board that is size 50cm by 40cm. Where Print Panels are shown, the print and mount size may be smaller.

For critique and theme images the deadline for image file submission is the Monday night before the event. For competitions the deadline date for PDI and Printfiles is in the programme, usually sixteen days before the judging. Prints are to be handed in at the meeting two weeks before the competition.
