27th November Meeting Report

A break from serious competition this week, as members submitted 2 pdii images each for the first theme night which was ‘In the Air’.

30 images were presented and voting was done individually on paper, just voting for our first 3.

The points covered 22 of the 30 images resulting in

10th——Gas Auschwitz by Roger W.
9th——Line Out by Penry A.
=7th——Pretty Bubbles in the Air by Brian G
=7th——Canada Goose by Adrian L.
=5th——Finger in the Sky by John W
=5th——Music in the Air by Sue H.
4th——Out of the Bunker and into the Air by Jeremy S.
3rd——Pop by John W.
2nd ——Jumping on the Next Train by Jeremy S
1st—— Going Up by Sally W.

After the break Jeremy talked us through the compiling of the clubs entry to the Kingswood Salver, a panel of 5 connecting images. It wasn’t a winner but did receive a good review. Jeremy pointed out that as the competition is early in the clubs season, it is necessary to begin giving thought to a suitable subject for next years panel.

Stewart then showed us a brilliant video which he compiled after a visit to Paris and the Van Gogh’s Immersive Experience; beautifully put together with a very apt and well thought out choice of music. An exhibition which was a privilege for us all to experience via Stewart.
